What people ask us most.
Is Start Global a bank?
No. Start Global is a financial technology company, not a bank. USD and EUR accounts are issued by Lead Bank, Member FDIC, and managed by Bridge Ventures LLC, a Stripe company. Stablecoin balances are not bank deposits and are not insured by the FDIC or SIPC. More in the legal notice.
Who can open an account?
People over 18 and companies (for example, a US LLC) that complete identity verification and live in a country where the service is available.
Do I need a company in the US?
No. You can open a personal account. If you have an LLC, add it in the same app and switch profiles whenever you want.
What do I need to get verified?
Your ID, a selfie and some information about your activity. Everything happens in the app and is reviewed by our regulated partners.
Where do I see my bank details?
Only inside the app, while signed in. For security we do not send them by email or message.
How long does a transfer take?
It depends on the network: local transfers in the US and Europe usually take from a few hours to a few business days. You can follow each operation in the app.
Why do I have to wait to send to a new destination?
It is a security layer: if someone got into your account, they could not take the money out instantly. We email you whenever you add a destination.
When are pesos and the card coming?
We are working on both. Leave your email at the bottom of the home page and we will let you know as soon as they are available in your country.
